Retaining Walls

Pisa II Retaining Wall

Pisa II is the most common wall stone that Unilock produces.  It comes in a variaety of colours and can be used to build walls up to 3ft tall.
You can use this stone for taller walls with the use of geo-grid.  It has to be used in walls taller then 3ft and it ties a minimum of 3ft into the grade behind the wall.  By using this material you can increase the height of your walls without losing the structural intergrity of the wall.
Geo-grid can be used with all types of wallstone made by any manufacturer.  I would not recommend building any walls taller then 3ft without it.  Unless you are using a bigger stone that has been approved for taller applications.

At this Cottage Style house we installed a White Garden with a rustic Flagstone Walkway and Patio in the backyard.  We also installed a traditional white picket fence that had a Hicks Yew Hedge around the inside perimeter.  In this shady backyard garden we incorporated a Woodland theme, with lots of Ferns, Hosta's, Trilliums, Solomons Seal and of course Rhododendron's.  In the front yard which was more sunny we included some textured plant material like Boxwoods and Yews, that would contrast nicely with our Magnolia, Peonies & Viburnums and other white sun loving perennials.
